With the jewish communities’ necessities in mind, Beit Yaacov was created in 2001 to provide and educational institution with international perspective and emphasis on Jewish traditions and culture. Teaching is trilingual – Portuguese, English, Hebrew – and the school has invested in providing an academic environment of excellence, from the most basic levels, all the while fostering the formation of responsible citizens who are committed to Jewish values.
Beit Yaacov incorporates two programmes of International Baccalaureate (IB): Primary Years Programme (PYP) encompassing elementary school and Diploma Programme for high school. Beit Yaacov is part of Tal Am, a Canadian programme that fosters language immersion in Hebrew and passing on the Jewish culture, the Torah and chagim that is aimed at Elementary Education. At the Middle School level, we prepare students for a complete Jewish life.
Middle School is characterised by structural changes and more intense school regimen. That is due to the fact that in this age range students start to establish their own hypotheses and are exposed to a more sophisticated level of relationship between the school and outside world.
Beit Yaacov adopts two international programes: Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Diploma Programme. The school also adopts Tal Am, a Canadian programme that promotes immersion in ivrit.
Beit Yaacov abides orthodox jewish principles and counsels students in following the Torah and Derech Eretz (politeness and respect), along with the values of the developed world.
Beit Yaacov provides a wide variety of after school activities that include: ballet, circus, Israeli dance, football, artistic gymnastics, tennis, theater, roller skating, skateboarding, judo, among other modalities.
